A sad, but temporary loss, is the Museum at Clitheroe Castle. One of the Northwest's biggest heritage projects at a cost of £3.2m, the Museum will be closed for 18 months for major restoration and internal modernisation.
When completed the complex will house a wonderful new Museum with interactive displays as well as a clogger's shop, Edwardian kitchen and Hacking ferryboat.
The Castle itself and the grounds remain open for visitors.
